Total genial

Not bad but...

I got the free version first. After that, I bought the iRig. I bought the bass amp after that. Two problems so far. One, it took me multiple tries to get the distortion box. I finally got it today. Two, I upgraded to LE and now I cant get the bass amp over to the LE from the free unless I pay again. I emailed tech support today but as of yet, I havent heard back from them. Any suggestions on that? Other than that, I like it. Using it tonight at a gig. Will report back on how it worked.

iPhone 4 

I cant get it to work on my iPhone 4. It works just fine on the 3GS.

Need fixes!!!!

it shut down to much, when you change from presets to amp!!! or song...

Almost there

With the new update, the sound quality is better, and the 4-track recorder is nicely done. But its missing a way to import audio from other iOS apps (either copy/paste or file-based). If you need a computer around to get drum tracks into the recorder, it defeats the whole purpose of having a portable solution. Also, you should be able to play songs directly from the iPod library without importing - other amp apps can do this, so its possible. With audio copy/paste and better iPod integration, this would definitely be a 5-star app.

Good...

...but... Wheres my tap tempo on the delay pedal itself? Set list integration would also be amazing.

Outstanding Fun with electric violin

I got my iRig today and tried out the free amplitube, worked fine. Bought the LE version to get the chorus stompbox. Very easy to use and lots of control on my sound. Use it with headphone for practice. So nice and light setup with iPhone on my belt.

Will get better

This is a great idea. I bought the LE edition and it needs to display in landscape mode on the iPad. Theres not enough visibility in portrait. It absolutely needs to be louder. Give us preamp or some kind of volume booster. When using headphones, its a bit tame.

Bad update

App was working pretty well until update, now the app is gone. Maybe fix my app that I paid for and Ill give more than one star.

Bum

It works, but that is all it does. The sound quality is not that good and I would really like to use my iPod at the same time as playing my guitar. It may come in handy if I need to record something real quick so I dont forget an idea. This app probably wont see much use.

Disappointed. Fix it.

Worked wonderfully until the last update, now it sounds like crap. I am a producer and I love IK multimedia products, I own 2 iPads, an iRig, and a Touch. I have purchased ALL OF THE ADD-ONs With two different iTunes accounts, and I am very DISSAPPOINTED with the fact we paid to get amplitube for iPad, and had to REPURCHASE ALL OF THE PEDALS WE HAVE ALREADY PAID FOR. Make at least the In app purchases universal... Or I am going to start recommending other products. When you fix this, I will amend my review. Until then I will find other tools to produce/play shows with.

I wanted this to work so bad...

I downloaded the free version of this app and used it without the iRig, just the headphone mic and it worked ok, there was still feedback etc but I figured once I bought the $40 iRig problem solved. Not the case. The app constantly crashes, in the event you start the app and havent plugged your headphones in = crash. If you plug unsuitable headphones/speakers into the iRig ( as intended ) = crash. Tomorrow I am on my way back to Best Buy to return it, and while Best Buy has the decency to refund bad products IK Multimedia does not. Another thing (and this goes with several IK Multimedia products) they dollar you to death with effects, amps, recorder, etc. But I love idea and it pains me to write such a negative review but a bad app is a bad app.

Isnt working

This app worked great....until today. I open the app an plug all my stuff in and absoluty no sound. I tried diffrent headphones. No sound. I tried diffrent cables. No sound. Checked my guitar. No sound. Unplugged and plugged it back in. No sound. I checked every thing on the app and still no sound. Please fix this

Nice App

Got the iRig and am very pleased with it. Got the 4 track recorder and it is a good deal. The quality is very good. Didnt need everything on the full version bought the clean amp, eq add on and od add on. Really liking this set up.

Flop!

I purchased this app to work with the iRig device. I have not been able to get it to work on my phone all. Im running the latest OS available and am using equipment that works fine with other iPhones/effects/amps. I even tried changing headphones to ones without a mic and nothing changes. Im very disappointed.

Stil no fix???

I bought entire setup and now I cant use it youve heard the complaints so do somthing already wanna use my new toy

No Audio Copy Paste

Ive purchased this app, several of AmpliTubes other amps and effects, the four track recorder, and the Fender package, all of which sound fantastic. However, Im frustrated and through using AmpliTube as a songwriting and recording app until they add audio copy and paste. Isnt a bit strange that I need to connect to my computer to get drums and other instrument app sounds into AmpliTube? Isnt it odd that if I want to to add some more EQ, compression, a fade, or edit some noise that I have to export to the computer to put my AmpliTube recordings in the app that sits right next to AmpliTube on my device? Isnt it a bit counterintuitive to make apps for a MOBILE device that need to be connected to a computer to unlock their full potential? Too many questions that can all be answered with the addition of audio copy and paste. Come on IK!!!!!!!!

Pretty much a toy, flaky behavior, audio glitching problems

I purchased the Amplitube LE version (running on an iPhone 4 16GB) and have been using it with my iRig and custom G&L ASAT-S guitar. Over all its a pretty entertaining toy, but not much more. The general behavior of the app is very inconsistent. Ive had all my effects drop out randomly, I have had the audio glitch out badly for no apparent reason. Ive gotten ugly, loud transients in my headphones (I have feedback eliminator set to Auto and I am not using headphones with a mic. The effects range from decent to useless. The "Noise Filter" appears to be an attempt to copy a vintage noise gate stomp and doesnt seem to work at all. The delay is OK, but it zippers badly when you turn the knobs and sometimes just glitches out entirely. Amp tone is passable. I think that this has some potential down the line, but in its present form I view it as an OK practice tool and little else.

So far incredible

Totally love it... Is there anything that iPhone cant do??

Great

I got the irig for Xmas, and I like it a lot. I use this app with the irig and my iPhone 4s. Its fun and convenient. Besides some crackling and popping, I really like it. It has some good features such as recording and some other things. I was really worried when I saw this app was not working with some other iPhones, but I am glad to say that I had no problems with my phone and the connection to the app. This app is a great addition to any guitar players collection of toys!
